So, at Colleen's suggestion, I opened a Twitter account and "followed" a few people and other entities. Think I followed too many, because I was inundated and now have to figure out what to do with all these "tweets"!
Did find this very informative piece of information - "Library 2.0 - Jump Start Your Library with Blogging and Twitter" and actually re-tweeted a few of the posts.

Feel like I am making some progress, but honestly it is taking hours!!
P.S. There are several other very informative slide shows on the topic of Library 2.0 at the end of this presentation
Wendy, that is a truly helpful Slideshare presentation! Thanks for posting this! Now, if only I can use some of the tips...
ReplyDeleteOne thing is for certain, I have to cut the length of some of my posts!
It is definitely a different way of writing from what I have been taught inthe past!
DeleteWendy,
ReplyDeleteI loved that slideshow! Very good information on how to create a successful blog. I really liked how he said you should infuse your own opinions ... I always feel like I am doing something wrong when I do this, but I guess that is what makes blogs different from more traditional communication!
Stefanie: I have been feeling the same way about voicing my own opinions. It seems that I have always been taught to be impartial and to write in the 3rd person. We are 5 weeks or so into this course and I am becoming a little more comfortable with these various media programs. In fact, I have to admit that it is bit liberating :)
